Have Model Y '24 with black seat, meaning, there are 3 main interior colors....black, wood trim, and silver.Got the real wood trim for center console to give a bit more color, but the door looked a bit plain.Decided on this chrome/silver color to give a bit of accent to the door.Thought about the "wood" trim for the lock switch, but don't think it would looked right. The chrome/silver worked out great.Take the tape cover off and place it.I did the outside trim first, followed by the button cover....as it is easier to mass up the small button cover replacement. Please do note that outside trim is different for front vs. rear.Rear one is wider.Few things to note:Button cover only has small opening and will cover majority of the car door shape on the button. Some of the original button will show through the small opening.Outer piece that lies toward hand grip can have sharp end.I'm not sure why it has to have a sharp end.One of them was too sharp, so had to get a replacement.Overall, I like the contrast of colors the door has now.Looks good.
